The women's swimming and diving team had an outstanding sectional meet, qualifying 9 individual events and 3 relays for the state meet.
Caroline Wanezek led the team and qualified for state automatically by winning the 200 Individual Medley and 100 butterfly. Krista Wolfe won diving and Fiona Dold qualified in the 100 Breaststroke by winning at sectionals. The 200 Medley Relay of Payton Keezer, Fiona Dold, Caroline Wanezek, and Sadie Podoll also qualified automatically with a win. Other state-qualified events were Maeve Green in the 200 and 500 freestyle, Sadie Podoll in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 butterfly, and Fiona Dold in the 100 breaststroke. The 200 freestyle relay of Sadie Podoll, Fiona Dold, Elise Miller, and Maeve Green, and the 400 freestyle relay of Caroline Wanezek, Payton Keeze, Elise Miller, and Maeve Green also qualified.
The state meet is Saturday at Waukesha South High School, with diving beginning at 9:30 and swimming at 2:30. It would be great to have a crew of Spartan supporters.
Brookfield East is providing IN-PERSON ACT prep/review sessions; these sessions will be taught/facilitated by Brookfield East teachers and are available only to BEHS students (juniors and seniors only).
