In recognition of MED13L Awareness Month, Brookfield East sophomore Molly Archibald recently shared her artistic talents to support The MED13L Foundation. Molly, who lives with MED13L Syndrome - a rare genetic neurodevelopmental disorder - created a beautiful piece in her Painting 3 class. This special artwork will be raffled off to one lucky donor on behalf of The MED13L Foundation as they build momentum for MED13L awareness and raise money for continued ground-breaking research. As a participant in this important research, the recognition and support are especially meaningful for Molly and her family.
Molly has a long history of using her artwork to support important causes, including sharing pieces with Make-A-Wish Wisconsin for its Wish Night Gala fundraisers over the years. In January 2026, she also donated a three-piece ceramic set titled An Invitation to Hope for The MED13L Foundation’s “Road Full of Promise” fundraiser. The set is now located at the foundation’s headquarters in the Chicago area.
“We are deeply grateful for the care, encouragement, and dedication that Molly’s art teachers have shown throughout her journey,” reflected Molly’s mother and volunteer Midwest Ambassador for the foundation, Ann Archibald. “Her success is a direct reflection of the work of her teachers at Dixon, Pilgrim Park, Brookfield East and Elmbrook Summer School - the continued support, belief in her abilities, and willingness to collaborate with us have helped her thrive.”
Congratulations to Molly on this wonderful recognition, and thank you for sharing your creativity, generosity and inspiring work with the Elmbrook Schools community!
